Our Story
It was never about making clothes.
It was about changing how women feel in them.
Olive & Oath began with a feeling I knew all too well.
Standing in a fitting room, holding up two different sizes of the same dress, wondering why neither one fit. If it hugged my waist, it pulled across my hips. If it fit my hips, it swallowed my waist. Every shopping trip ended the same way — with compromise.
Growing up with a smaller waist and wider hips, I struggled to find pieces that celebrated my shape instead of fighting against it. Fashion seemed to be designed for one very specific body type, leaving so many women feeling like they needed to change themselves to make clothes work.
The more women I spoke to, the more I realised my experience wasn’t unique. We all had our version of the same story. Different bodies. The same frustration.
So I stopped asking, “Why don’t these clothes fit me?” and started asking,
That’s where Olive & Oath began.
Designed for bodies, not measurements.
Women’s bodies aren’t standard. Some of us have fuller hips and smaller waists. Others have broader shoulders, a fuller bust, longer torsos, athletic builds, or curves that don’t fit neatly into a size chart.
Yet for decades, much of the fashion industry has developed collections from a single sample fit, graded up or down — without accounting for how proportions change from one body to another. So many women spend years buying clothes that fit one part of their body while compromising somewhere else.
We wanted to challenge that. Instead of asking women to adapt to our clothes, we design clothes that adapt to women.
Natural fibres. No compromises.
We choose premium 100% pure flax linen for almost every garment we create. Linen is naturally breathable, beautifully durable and made to soften with every wear. It regulates temperature, lets your skin breathe and becomes part of your story over time.
You’ll never find us chasing cheap synthetic alternatives because they’re easier or more profitable. Quite honestly, we’re not interested in wearing plastic.
We believe luxury should feel as good as it looks.
